Stefanie Hörbst and Felix Spielmann did measurements as part of a course at the University of Innsbruck comparing air temperatures in urban and rural environments. They had the opportunity to explain their work to a wider audience during their appearance in the Tirol Heute weather forecast! Here's a video, followed by some pics:
Georg and the Anton-Auer-Hauptschule in Telfs were awarded a research price (Sparkling Science) by the secretary of science for their project on global change.
The May 2008 issue of the Universum Magazin features a short article about the results of our recently finished FWF project (P17560-B03), where we have compared CO2, H2O and energy fluxes across various mountain grasslands in Tyrol.
