As mentioned earlier in our News post, Georg was awarded the “Forschungspreis der Stiftung Südtiroler Sparkasse”. The picture shows him flanked by the rector and vice rector for research of the University of Innsbruck, as well as the president of the Stiftung Südtiroler Sparkasse, who handed over the certificate.

New papers

Two new papers with contributions from the Biomet group have been published online in Journal of Geophysical Research – Biogeosciences and in the Interactive Discussion of Biogeosciences, and we also received notice that our recent submission to Geophysical Research Letters was accepted:

New visitor

IMAG0622Today we hosted John Gamon (University of Alberta) as a guest in our group. John, traveling from the EuroSpec final conference in Trento to Zürich, discussed opportunities and challenges of merging proximal sensing and flux measurements in our group and enjoyed a visit to our field site Neustift.
