Earlier this week, Peng, Albin, Kathi and Georg were at Monte Bondone to set up the first grassland advection experiment. The pictures below show some impressions of the field work and setup; here a short fun movie can be found.

Last week Georg taught at the InnSAR (Innsbruck Summer School of Alpine Research – Surface-Atmosphere Exchange over Mountainous Terrain) summer school. This week Georg attended the 33rd International Conference on Alpine Meteorology and gave a presentation on the advection experiment in Torgnon.
On 25th July Albin gave a lecture on the basics of the eddy covariance method and their application for ecosystem research in mountain areas with particular reference to the flux tower measurements we were operating 2013-2014 at Furka pass.
