Advection campaign at larch forest in Torgnon started

Last week Marta and Georg set up the advection equipment that in a previous FWF project was used at grasslands in the larch forest flux tower in Torgnon (Aosta valley) to quantify the contribution of advection to the CO2 balance of the forest.

Mobile methane flux measurements on lakes in the Alps

Within the frame of the project ALCH4 (funded by Province of South Tyrol/Alto Adige), Kathi, Enrico and our intern Benni are busy conducting lake-atmosphere methane flux measurements using our mobile platform (see picture on Kalterer See/Lago Caldaro; link to short video).

Farewell to Peng

As Peng will be leaving Innsbruck towards Mainz after almost 4 years as a PostDoc in the advection project, we had a joint dinner today wishing him all the best for his future career.
